October 2006 Edition

{{{firstname}}}, the prime travel season is going to be starting soon in Costa Rica and the real estate market continues to grow. The summer was busier than last year and pre-season inquiries are up as well. Our investment outlook in Costa Rica is strong which is why we continue to invest in raw properties.

Vista Dulce Website Launch - Puerto Jimenez Property

Following is the link to the Vista Dulce website.  Vista Dulce is preserve-style property with excellent ocean views of the Golfo Dulce.  Located just to the north of Puerto Jimenez, Vista Dulce is easily accessible by air through Puerto Jimenez or car from the Pan American Highway.

The road from the Pan American Highway to Puerto Jimenez is in the process of being paved.  While we all know that will happen in Tico time, the process has started.  Coupling that with the potential of the Southern Zone airport and very limited amounts of developable land on the Osa Peninsula (over 80% is National Forest) makes Puerto Jimenez an excellent investment and you are pretty well guaranteed the natural beauty will be preserved.

Finca Being Developed into View Lots

Remaining property descriptions:

  • Lot 1A - $105K: The first property you encounter when going up the hill to Vista Del Mar. Reaching this property from the paved Costanera takes less than 90 seconds. Good ocean views, an excellent building pad and large piece of property.

  • Lot 4 - $110K: While this property may be smaller than most in Vista Del Mar, you could not tell that by the grand vista. This property site in the front of the property provides 180-degree ocean views and 180-degree mountain views.

  • Lot 7 - $125K: This large property of 5.5 acres has ocean view in the front with a large natural jungle area that sprawls into the valley. A home built on this property could have ocean view in the front and jungle/wildlife in the back.

  • Lot 8 - $120K: With excellent ocean, mountain and valley views, this natural property includes a large patch of secluded jungle with wildlife.  Excellent access but still totally secluded from the rest of the world.

  • Lot 9 - $120K: Similar to lot # 8, excellent ocean, mountain and valley views, this natural property includes a large patch of secluded jungle with wildlife.  Excellent access but still totally secluded from the rest of the world.

  • Lot 13 - $135K: This property is huge! There is an excellent ocean view from this property but it will require minor cutting and some cleaning to expose it.  The building location on this property is easy to access and it also offers beautiful mountain views.

  • Lots 13A through 13D - $120K to $130K: All four of these properties have excellent ocean views of the Pacific, Isla Cano and Drake Bake in very natural jungle surroundings which provides for a sense of privacy.

Arenas De Oro Concession Started... New Road to Drake Bay!

The concession process on the Drake Bay beach property, called Arenas De Oro, has started.  The concession involves something called a Plan Regulador which essentially is an environmental impact study.  This is to ensure land near the beach, which is very sensitive, is soundly developed.

This process can take as little as six months and when it is complete, the property will be ready-to-build which will increase it's value significantly.  Prices will also be driven up by the paved road to Drake that is in the preliminary stages.  The dirt road has already been improved cutting a two hour drive down to 45 minutes.
